University Experience Comparison

                      During our visit to Foxdale at the beginning month, I held a paramount interview, which was extremely worthwhile. I had the chance to interview with one of the residents, named Mrs. Susan Knox and we discussed and tackled various issues regarding various aspects of life, one of the major aspect is the aspirations and dilemmas that Penn State University face. One of the worthy issues that has been a heap problem during the past years is drinking. During my discussion Mrs. Susan Knox claimed “Students tend to drink alcoholic beverages during the weekends due to the endless parties that are held at State College and the unfathomable bars the distribute them.”

                        Moreover, following up the case I visited the PSU library Special Collection, into which I was able to have a look at numerous newspaper written by the Daily Collegian, which tackles problems that    Penn State society face. One of the news that grabbed my attention, was a newspaper that was established and distributed at the 1^st of October 1953, the aspiration of the newspaper was to civilize the drinking issues and clarify various controversy. Dr. Henry S. Burnner wasn’t satisfied with the council reaction regarding the enforcement of rules that regulate such an issue. He suggested that alcoholic beverages shall not be distributed in events into which youngsters and woman is participating (Daily Collegian, 1953). From this passage, I came with a definite conclusion that alcoholic problems was a problem during the past generations and will still be a definite problem, unless we cause it to halt by setting rules and  no matter what we do it will stay a problem during the upcoming generations.
                   Featuring, the Lavie which is a year book that highlights important events and activities and the organizations that were available at such a time, in addition to a  list the students that graduated from the university and their majors. The year-book that brought my attention, is the year book which was established in 1953. One of the things that should not be neglected is that women and men were separated and they have distinct Dean’s. Additionally, there was activities but in comparison with the decent years there is notable different with the university’s activities it seems to be more global and became a home of a large number of international students.
                    In conclusion, I’ve gained a lot of valuable experience, which gave me a beneficial information about the history of The Pennsylvania State University. Within this activity I felt as if I was thrown back at these days, I had the chance to tackle some issues that the society face and extract solutions that could help to cease these problems.

Coach says It'sNot Good

Summary:

This chapter states the Ntwari family, who fled the Hutu and Tutsi civil war and genocide in Burundi. Also, it mentions 12 year-old Bienvenue Ntwari’s passion for soccer and how he came to join Luma’s team. I read about Luma’s efforts to create unity and avoid naturally emerging cliques and favoritism, not an easy task as some players move away and new ones arrive each year.

Foxdale Trip

*Before I went to Foxdale, I had thought that place to older people for treatments only. Also, I had to meet people who have a lot of experiences in life.

*I enjoyed to talk whit Susan who have a lot experiences in education because she was a teacher in State college. Also, She gave me some advice for improve my language. I am very proud to meet her. I didn’t face any challenging because Susan was kind. 

*When the IECP students taking a trip similar to this Place should respect that people because they are great, kind, wisdom, and they have interesting information.

The Fugees Are Born

          This chapter states the first soccer try outs and practices for luma's newly formed refugee boy's team. Luma's promise to Beatrice Ziaty to keep Jerimiah safe before, during, and after practice so that Beatrice will allow him to join the time. Also, how she might help the players bu establishing a tutoring, and the steps she take to help them on and of the field.
